Course structure

Course duration: 20 hours
Schedule:
– June 22–26 and June 29 – July 3, 2026, at the Madrid – Puerta de Toledo Campus. From 10:00 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. (break from 12:00 p.m. to 12:30 p.m.).
– June 29 – July 3, 2026, at the Colmenarejo Campus. From 10:00 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. (break from 12:00 p.m. to 12:30 p.m.).

40-hour course
Schedule:

Methodology: In-person only.
Language: Spanish and English.

Target audience and participant selection

Target audience: University students, professionals, and the general public. Participant selection: Registration will be processed on a first-come, first-served basis.

Minimum age: 18 years old (registration is also open to those turning 18 in 2026).

Fees

20-hour courses:
– General fee: €70
– Reduced fee (UC3M University Community*, seniors over 65, retirees, unemployed individuals, and people with disabilities): €30

40-hour course:
– General fee: €140
– Reduced fee (UC3M University Community*, seniors over 65, retirees, unemployed individuals, and people with disabilities): €60

*UC3M University Community: students, alumni, professional and administrative staff (PTGAS), faculty and researchers (PDI), and the University of the Third Age program (programa de mayores) at Carlos III University of Madrid.

 

Payment

In all cases, tuition fees must be paid by card via the Summer Program website or at the Information Centers. Applicants must first complete the registration form with their personal details, followed by the online payment. Once all spots are filled, the system will not accept further registrations.
The Summer Program administration reserves the right to cancel any course if the minimum required enrollment is not met.
The following shall be considered justified grounds for a refund of registration fees:

– Personal illness or illness of a family member up to the second degree of consanguinity.
– Personal illness: A medical certificate must be provided.
– In the event of a serious illness of a family member, up to the second degree of consanguinity, supporting documentation must be provided.
– Death of a family member, up to the second degree of consanguinity. Supporting documentation must be provided.
– Schedule conflict with work or other academic activities. Supporting documentation proving the overlapping schedules must be provided.

Registration

Minimum age: 18 years old (registration is also open to those turning 18 in 2026).

Registration period:
– Until June 13th at 12:00 PM for courses held at the Madrid – Puerta de Toledo campus.
– Until June 20th at 12:00 PM for courses held at the Colmenarejo campus.

Attendance requirements

Students should note that in order to obtain the certificate of participation, attendance at 100% of the classes and scheduled events for each course is mandatory.

Summer Program Office staff will provide daily sign-in sheets to verify attendance. To obtain the certificate, students may only miss up to 20% of the total hours (provided there is a justified cause).

 

Certification and Credit Recognition

UC3M UNDERGRADUATE students who complete the 2026 Summer Courses may obtain recognition of humanities or elective credits.

The 20-hour 2026 Summer Program Courses are recognized for:

– 1 Elective ECTS credit
OR
– 2 Humanities ECTS credits. Students must complete a total block of 3 ECTS for the recognition to be added to their academic record. If the student completes a second 20-hour Summer Course, they will be able to recognize a 3-ECTS Humanities block, which can be requested through their Virtual Secretariat (Secretaría Virtual).

The 40-hour 2026 Summer Program Course is recognized for:

2 Elective ECTS credits
OR
3 Humanities ECTS credits

The Summer Program will certify the number of hours completed so that students from other universities or other groups (high school teachers, professionals, etc.) may apply for the appropriate credit transfers where applicable.
